On 29 September 2023, the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) hosted a comprehensive course briefing for the incoming batch of new students for the 2023 academic session. A total of 70 students attended the session. The session commenced with a warm welcome from Professor Dr. Wang Han, Dean of School of Electrical Engineering and Artificial Intelligence.
Following the welcome address, Assoc. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Wong Shen Yuong, the Head of EEE, delivered a detailed presentation to acquaint the new students with the important information relating to the programme and to address crucial matter they may encounter throughout their academic journey. Assoc. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Wong Shen Yuong also introduced the dedicated team of academicians and support staff who will guide and assist the students during their tenure at Xiamen University Malaysia.
Moreover, recognizing the significance of a well-rounded experience, the department thoughtfully provided refreshments for the attendees. The students were not only equipped with valuable academic information but also had the opportunity to engage in a game session organized by the EEE Student Union, fostering a sense of camaraderie and community among the new cohort.
The session concluded with an engaging Q & A segment, allowing students to seek further clarification on the information presented.
